This relationship sounds very new to me, a month and two weeks is very early for anyone to trust anyone. Trust is something people earn. Now that doesn't mean you have to be paranoid when it comes to him, take him as he is, and in time you'll know if he is trust worthy. One more thing, make sure you're not bringing old baggage into this relationship. Feel me? Sounds like you may have trust issues. Believe me, baggage can sabotage something that can be potentially really good. You both deserve a clean start, change your train of thought or you might me trying to mop up a great mess later.
