Hello! My name is Marissa Torres and I listen to The Beat all the time...but, Valencia, I need your help!! I just broke up with my boyfriend a month ago and I still miss him and love him. I started talkin to him again yesterday and he told me he has a new girlfriend. That just broke my heart and i cried all night!! In a way, I wanna be back with him but then again I don't and I want your help because I think he got over me but he says he'll always have feelings for me so I need your help. Ho do wi get over him?? I miss hima nd everything. Do you think it was a bad choice to start talking to him again?? And the bad part is that I can get somebody to replace D (ex-boyfriend). I want a boyfriend but nobody likes me and thinks I'm ugly which is true cuz I think that too but how do I get somebody new??

Hey... Girl, guys fake the funk... And what I mean is, they pretend to be over us quick, and then out of no where, they'll call and want us back... Believe what I say... It's very true. Listen, there's a reason you are no longer with your ex and truthfully, it sounds like you're better off without him. The reason I say that is because I want you to get yourself together. Beauty is something that starts inside and then radiates out. Not the other way around. I got an exercise for you, I want you to write a list of all the things you don't like about yourself, then re-write that same list and turn every negative into a positive. Like this, I hate that my hair always looks crazy. Change that to: I'm going to work on making my hair silky and healthy. You've gotta change how you see yourself. Take as long as you can on the negative list so that you can eventually see how great you really are once you do the positive list. I've done it, and It really does help you see how beautiful you really are. By the way, once you've created your positive list, throw that negative list away and read that positive list every day. I believe you really are a beautiful young lady, you just have to believe it too. About your ex, never let anyone get the best of you because in the end it's just YOU. Believe me, when you get yourself together, you'll stop attracting DOGS.... Well at least the big ones!! ha ha... Keep in touch and let me know how you're doing. Thanks beautiful..
